Factors Affecting <i>Teff</i> (<i>Eragrostis tef</i>) Market Supply in Woliso and Becho Districts of South West Shoa Zone Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia

This study was aimed to analyze teff (Eragrostis tef) market chain in south west Shoa zone with objective of factors affecting supply using two stage ordinary least square approaches. The majority Ethiopia’s population earns its livelihood primarily from agriculture. Cereals is the first Ethiopia area coverage and production. Teff a major staple food crop Ethiopia. Both primary secondary data were used this study. Primary collected 138 sampled farmers 38 traders both districts by semi-structured interview. OLS (ordinary square) model results showed that seven explanatory variables significantly affected quantity supplied smallholder producers. Age, education level current price negatively supply. Distance nearest market, farm size, perception produced positively influencing marketed teff. Policy implications take place highly recommendation those are relevant improve marketing system which indicated production orientation set based on significant raised problems stakeholders. To resolving prevailing deems necessary condition.
